Service Life of Construction Elevator Rack Under standard working conditions and proper maintenance, the service life of HR-40×60×1508 (M8) elevator rack is 3 to 5 years.
Ordinary carbon steel without hardening: 2,000–5,000 working hours (2–3 years)C60 steel with tooth surface hardening: 6,000–8,000 working hours (3–5 years)High-grade alloy steel with precision grinding & deep hardening: 8,000–12,000 working hours (5–8 years)Main Influencing Factors
Material & Heat Treatment Tooth surface hardness HRC 40–55 greatly improves wear resistance and service life. Non-hardened racks wear much faster.
Load & Operation Frequency Full-load and long-hour daily operation will shorten the service life. Light load and intermittent use extend its lifespan.
Lubrication & Working Environment Regular lubrication and effective dust & mud protection can prolong service life by 30%–50%. Severe dust, mud and dry friction will accelerate wear.
Installation Accuracy Poor alignment and excessive meshing gap cause strong impact and rapid abrasion.
