Description

Anhui Huihuang Chain Transmission Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of en masse conveyor chain in China, featured by quality products and good service. If you're going to wholesale advanced en masse conveyor chain made in China, welcome to get pricelist and free sample from our factory. We also accept customized orders.

This design features a single-strand chain with split scraper attachments, offering a simple structure and low cost. It is ideal for applications with moderate conveying volumes and low-abrasion materials. However, the scraper has limited resistance to torsion and unbalanced loads, making it unsuitable for heavy-duty or long-distance conveying operations.

Structure Identification

The chain links come with holed scraper attachments (flights), designed to scrape and convey powdery or granular materials (such as grain, cement, and mineral powder) inside enclosed troughs. It features a heavy-duty construction with thick link plates and reinforced pins, made of wear-resistant alloy steel, suitable for long-distance conveying and harsh working conditions of en masse conveyors.

Industry Applications

As the core component of submerged scraper conveyors, this type of chain is widely used in industries including grain processing, chemical, building materials, and mining, for conveying dusty, toxic, or high-temperature bulk materials.

Common Chain-Related Failures of En Masse (Submerged Scraper) Conveyors

Chain Breakage Occurs due to material defects, excessive wear leading to elongation, repeated overload impacts, or uneven tension in double-strand setups. It often causes sudden downtime and severe production disruption.

Excessive Chain Elongation & Wear Caused by long-term friction between pins/bushings, abrasive materials, and lack of lubrication. The stretched chain no longer meshes properly with sprockets, leading to slippage, reduced efficiency, and accelerated wear on other components.

Chain Derailment / Misalignment Triggered by uneven chain tension, worn sprockets, damaged guide rails, or uneven material feeding. The chain deviates from its path, causing scraper jams, uneven wear, and even trough damage.

Chain Jumping / Poor Sprocket Engagement Caused by worn sprocket teeth, over-stretched chain, or debris trapped in the chain/sprocket interface. It results in unstable operation, impact loads, and risk of derailment.

Floating Chain Phenomenon Occurs when the chain fails to stay fully submerged in light or low-friction materials, often due to insufficient chain weight, high operating speed, or excessive chain elongation. It reduces conveying efficiency and causes uneven chain/scraper wear.

Scraper Deformation or Loosening Broken, bent, or loose scrapers (due to chain impact, foreign object jams, or fatigue) reduce material-pushing efficiency, create uneven loads on the chain, and may lead to further jams or chain failure.
