Since long-term use causes wear that increases pitch and length, periodic monitoring of elongation is essential; adjustments or replacements should be made promptly if limits are exceeded. Furthermore, chain tension must be checked to prevent issues such as chain skipping (caused by excessive slack) or increased friction and wear (caused by excessive tightness).
Inspections of the operational state are also required. After the equipment starts, the chain's movement should be observed for smoothness, and checks should be performed for abnormal vibration, noise, binding, or inadequate lubrication. For critical equipment, load testing may be conducted to evaluate the chain's load-bearing capacity and performance, ensuring it meets actual operational requirements.
